Rumor: midnight local time
Several guide sites say the game will unlock at midnight local time, based on how some PlayStation Store listings are set up. That's common for digital launches, and some reports add that the US might unlock at midnight Eastern, meaning Wednesday evening on the West Coast. Rockstar hasn't confirmed any of this, and store metadata can change, so treat it as a rumor for now.
A small oddity: some regional PlayStation Store pages show November 18 in the release field while the text on the same page says November 19. That looks like a time zone quirk in the store, not a different launch date. Rockstar's date is November 19.
A date that has already moved twice
GTA 6 was first aimed at fall 2025, then slipped to May 26, 2026, and then to November 19, 2026. Talk of a further delay into 2027 has been shot down by Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick, who has repeated during 2026 that the date is locked.
